Welcome to Polish the Queen, the weekly rag spectacle where New York's bravest, boldest, and occasionally least-prepared performers walk into G Lounge on a Wednesday and attempt something resmbling greatness.
This is not your polished pageant.
This is not your mother's drag brunch.
This is Chelsea's chaotic proving ground - a neon gladiator arena where wigs, heels, and hopes collide in the gayest way possible.
If you're looking for perfectly rehearsed numbers and calm energy...
Good luck! This is Polish the Queen.
Polish the Queen is an amateur drag competition designed to give new entertainers, up-and-coming stars, and unhinged creatives a platform to be seen, celebrated, and occasionally judged with love.
Every Wednesday, we throw open the doors of G Lounge to a vibrant mix of drag queens, kings, things, club kids, gender-bending goblins, theater gays, twerk athletes, ballad screamers, comedy monsters, and everyone in between.
It's a place where:
Beginners debut
Regulars return
Judges cackle
The crowd picks favorites
And the host holds it all together with duct tape and sarcasm
We celebrate drag at every level - from the promising to the unhinged to the surprisingly polished.
To create a space where new talent can:
Try something new
Build confidence
Learn the ropes
Make people scream
Develop stage presence
And join a vibrant community of queer performers
Polish the Queen is where careers begin, friendships form, wigs fall off, and stars get forged in chaos.
We're here to uplift, inspire, and throw a little shade - all in the service of drag excellence.
